This CPA's Answer Might Surprise You

The desire for status symbols such as a nice car and a beautiful home is one of the many distractions that keep us happy. True success comes when these things do not define who you are; it’s finding what sets your life apart – even if there isn’t anything special about them at first glance.

A person can be successful but still struggle with low self-esteem because all their achievements will never satisfy others (or themselves). It takes time to build confidence before people notice how excellent everything seems now.

We all tend to spend most of our time in just two rooms: the bedroom and bathroom. A $20,000 car will get you as far with transportation reliability as an $80,000 model can.

Success in the western world is focused on showing off to your friends, family, and neighbors. It doesn’t focus enough attention on what will make you happy- it can be difficult when we are constantly trying so hard to get ahead or keep up with everyone else.

But don’t worry because there’s one thing I have found which seems more critical each day: myself – no matter how much success may come, I maintain this perspective: “If I’m fulfilled, then everything indeed does seem worthwhile.”

Define Success Your Way

  1. What is your passion? Your central focus can lead to a more straightforward determination of everything else. Do you want to write a great novel, spend time with family and explore the world or find out who “you” really are inside before we go any further…
  2. Wouldn’t you rather spend your time doing what makes you happy? We indeed need to make some money, but there are other ways. If making a living is essential for now and putting things into perspective every day will help in the future, then take up hobbies or side jobs on evenings/weekends, so they don’t feel like work!
  3. Are you living where you want to live? You can choose from various living accommodations to best suit your needs and desires. The colossal home may be too much work for you, or it might not provide enough financial stability when compared with other options available on the market today, especially considering how expensive maintaining such property has become over time! You also need to consider whether hiring staff will drain energy resources away from daily tasks –not only does this add additional expense but also stress.
  4. How much “free” time do you want to have? This isn’t just about pursuing your passion; it’s also the opportunity for pleasure and adventure in life, like seeing friends or family. A successful career would include enough free moments so that all of our interests can be satisfied–and this is primarily determined by what kind of lives we choose.
  5. What kind of legacy do you want to leave behind? There are only so many years left in your life. Think about what will make it worthwhile, don’t waste any time on things that won’t bring satisfaction or joy when looking back from wherever this journey may take you.

One of the most extraordinary things is deciding what you want out of your life and then working hard towards achieving those goals. Everyone’s definition of success will vary, but don’t let others determine how happy they make us feel about our accomplishments!

Successful people are not fixedly pursuing society’s definition of success. They know what makes them happy and enjoy the ride while it lasts, without worrying too much about how others perceive them or their place in life.

When we pursue things that make us feel good, there is a sense of freedom from false obligations, leading to happiness. We needn’t be defined by expectations; instead, find your path – one where you can follow all those inner adviser voices telling you who they think should succeed!
